Que Tran holds an Executive MBA from Cranfield School of Management and was named among the top 30 leading business and technology executives in the CIO 100 by CIO UK, having also been recognised for his achievements and contributions to technology by the British Computer Society.
Dr Mohamed Rahmah: Vice President, Ports & Terminal Systems, CARGOES - DP World
Dr. Rahmah is a globally experienced information technology professional with a demonstrated history of working in the logistics and supply chain industry. As VP of Ports and Terminals, he is leading the way in transforming ports worldwide with cutting-edge solutions. With his expertise in ITIL, IT Service Management, Management, Project Management, and IT Management, Dr. Rahmah has helped to streamline and optimize port and terminal operations. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused in Business/Managerial Economics from Lincoln University Malaysia and is passionate about sharing his knowledge and insights on the latest trends and best practices in the industry.
Patrick Bol: Head of Port Expansions & Special Projects – Global Operations, DP World
Patrick Bol is a container terminal executive with over 30 years of experience in the port business, from ship deck to executive management. He has managed terminal operations and led business units in Rotterdam, Indonesia, Djibouti, Busan, Saigon and now holds the position of Director Port Expansions and Special Projects at DP World. Passionate about innovation and conceptual terminal design, automation and improving terminal logistics by applying the latest technology, he takes great pride in optimising logistical processes and achieving the impossible in the most challenging environments, bringing concepts from inception to industrial roll out.
Piotr Konopka: Senior Manager of Decarbonisation & Energy programmes at DP World
Piotr Konopka is a Senior Manager of Decarbonisation & Energy programmes at DP World. He is overseeing a global portfolio of projects which include equipment electrification, process efficiency, renewable energy, low carbon fuels and carbon compensation, across Ports & Terminals, Logistics, Economic Zones and Marine Services divisions. Well-versed in scope 3 mitigation strategies, carbon compensation, ESG reporting frameworks and other foundational elements of decarbonisation strategies. Piotr is a Chartered Environmentalist and Board Member of the Energy Institute in the Middle East Branch. Graduate of Sustainable Energy Futures at Imperial College London and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bath.
Carla Grifo: Director – Global Operations Systems & Optimization
Carla is an innovative leader with 16 years of experience in the logistics industry. She currently directs the Global Systems and Technology implementation strategy for DP World, guiding the development of product functionality to optimize business processes and leading initiatives that foster the organization’s Innovation Culture. Carla has executed over 50 projects and initiatives across Europe, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and America. Her contributions have led to substantial cost savings and efficiency improvements. As the driving force behind DP World’s Global Innovation platform, Carla revolutionized the company’s ability to collaborate and innovate together, resulting in an impressive 15% implementation rate for ideas from thousands of employees. She has coached over 90 innovation champions worldwide, equipping them with the essential skills and tools for innovation management and design thinking. Carla has been sharing insights in logistics, automation, technology, innovation, and leadership as a conference speaker since 2009. She has also served as a guest lecturer at academic institutions in The Netherlands. Carla holds a Master of Science in Maritime Economics and Logistics, along with certifications in Innovation Management and Design Thinking from the prestigious Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University in The Netherlands.
Rob Harrison: Vice President - DP World Europe
Rob ventured into and fell in love with transport logistics in 2004 when he joined the A P Moller Maersk Group. He spent time in Nigeria, Denmark and Belgium in various leading finance and change management roles before being appointed CFO for Safmarine Container Lines. Since 2012 Rob has been with DP World, initially leading the development of Antwerp Gateway and latterly as VP for Intermodal and Logistics across Europe. Today, as DP World embarks on its journey towards being an end-to-end supply chain provider, Rob is actively driving the integration of the land side supply chain to better meet the needs of customers and the future of a sustainable planet. He is a believer in open markets and liberal economies and goes by the mantra that “trade is at the centre of societal wellbeing”.
