Please tell us a little about your company and what you will be showcasing at TOC Europe 2024.
Navis is the preferred brand of terminal operating systems from supply chain software provider Kaleris. With more than 30 years of expertise in terminal operations, Navis delivers the most secure, reliable, scalable, and user-friendly applications so terminals can move all types of cargo safely and efficiently.
We’re excited to showcase the latest upgrades to our portfolio of TOS solutions, which include delivering industry-leading uptime and capabilities that drive operational cost efficiency.
Who are you hoping to meet?
Having great conversations is one of the highlights of TOC Europe. More than 500 ports and terminals use our Navis TOS, including 70% of the top 10 busiest terminals in Europe. We have been fortunate to build so many industry connections in the region over our 30-year history, and we hope to meet with as many of them as possible.
Why is the European market so important to you?
As broader macroeconomic conditions lead to the expansion of European ports, we can help terminals in the region scale their operations, grow their business, and increase the resiliency of the global supply chain.
What are your plans, goals and ambitions for the rest of 2024 and beyond?
We continue to build the most open platform TOS solutions on the market. As terminals leverage more technology, Navis TOS serves as the hub to connect and manage all the solutions and their data. Our TOS provides access to operational data so terminals can use their data to make informed decisions.
Driving connectivity and technology interoperability ties back to our vision to solve the world’s most complex supply chain challenges. Interoperability both within a terminal’s technology ecosystem and when connecting to the larger supply chain is crucial for creating resiliency and efficiency. We continue to innovate on this front with our Execution & Visibility Platform that connects terminals, port communities, and shippers so they can see what’s happening across the supply chain and take action to drive optimal outcomes.
We’re also hyper-focused on cybersecurity because it’s such an important topic for our customers.
Could you provide an overview of your company’s current sustainability initiatives related to ports and terminals?
Our terminal operating system plays an important role in helping ports and terminals achieve their overall sustainability goals. By optimizing operations, Navis TOS reduces idle time for equipment and cargo rehandles, which also reduces carbon emissions and fuel/energy consumption. By driving operational efficiency, we can also accelerate sustainability.
Why do you consider it important to be at TOC Europe?
TOC Europe is one of the highlights of the year because we can connect with so many familiar faces and meet new people within one event. It’s the best of both worlds – catching up with current customers and partners while also exploring new partnerships and opportunities. The opportunity to hear from expert speakers on important topics that define the future of our industry is also invaluable.
What message do you have for the TOC community who will be in Rotterdam?
Thank you for taking time to participate in this conference. It can be tough to step away from daily responsibilities for a week, but the time investment is worth it. The learnings and industry relationships built throughout the event pay dividends in the long run. And we’re looking forward to seeing you at stand L52.
